These terms apply when you use LucraDoc, run by LucraDoc. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use LucraDoc.

Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data and forms part of these terms.

LucraDoc teaches how the UK and NHS financial systems work so you can make your own informed decisions. Nothing on LucraDoc is personal financial, tax, legal, payroll, pension, investment or employment advice. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority to give financial advice, and we do not recommend any product, provider or course of action.

Everything is general and does not take your full circumstances into account. Before making a financial decision, check current official sources (such as GOV.UK, HMRC and NHS Employers) and, where appropriate, speak to a qualified, regulated professional.

The calculators, rotation toolkit and payslip checker give estimates. They use simplified rules and published rates, which change over time and may not match your own situation, contract, tax code or employer's payroll.

• Results may be wrong or out of date, and you should not rely on them alone.
• The payslip checker can misread a payslip. Always check your pay and deductions with your employer's payroll department or HMRC.
• You are responsible for any decision you make, and for any claim you submit to HMRC or your employer.

• You must be 18 or over to use LucraDoc.
• LucraDoc is designed for doctors and medical students in the UK.
• Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep your password safe.
• You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
• You can delete your account at any time from Account & privacy.

When using LucraDoc, you must not:

• break the law or help anyone else to;
• try to access other people's accounts or data, or parts of the service you are not meant to reach;
• disrupt, overload or probe the service for weaknesses without our written permission;
• copy, scrape or resell the course or other content;
• enter anyone else's personal or payroll information.

If you break these terms, we may suspend or close your account.

The course, text, graphics, calculators and design of LucraDoc belong to us or the people who licensed them to us. You may use them for your own personal learning. You may not copy, publish or sell them without our written permission. The information and data you enter remain yours.

LucraDoc is currently free. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free or up to date. We may change, pause or stop parts of the service. If we decide to close LucraDoc, we will give you reasonable notice so you can download your data.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

Because LucraDoc is a free educational service, and subject to the paragraph above, we are not responsible for:

• financial decisions you make, or losses from relying on the content, calculators or payslip checker;
• tax, pay, pension or loan outcomes, or any penalties or interest from HMRC or others;
• losses that were not reasonably foreseeable;
• problems caused by events outside our reasonable control;
• the content of other websites we link to.

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and, if a change is significant, tell you before it takes effect. If you keep using LucraDoc after that, the new terms apply.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If there is a dispute, the courts of England and Wales will deal with it, unless you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in which case you can also bring proceedings there.
